Croydon Caravan Park is in walking distance to the True Blue Visitor Information Centre, heritage machinery displays and heritage buildings. It is close to a supermarket and café, the roadhouse and post office, the longest continuously running general store in Queensland and the Croydon Club Hotel - the only remaining pub of 36 in Croydon town.
Excellent quiet, well serviced 'almost free' camping area. Hot showers and a some shade. A $5 'mandatory donation' even covers two nights if you want to stay longer. Most RV friendly town we have visited with very helpful lady in the visitor centre - which is worth the visit to this interesting little historical town just by itself.
Great little spot for a day or two, toilets and showers available at rear of grandstand in demountable.
Obtain Permit from True Blue Info Centre, worth a look at display here & outside, most interesting.
A large area, some shade, it was so hot when we stayed, but pleasant.
We stayed for two nights and paid $5 2X . A great historic town with lovely people! Explore and go to Belmore dam, less than 4km from town. Well equipped and reasonable priced stores.
