Free Camping - Western Australia

Please note:  turn off the highway at GPS -27.264343, 117.981362 and follow the unsealed road until you reach the picnic area.

Nallan Lake is a nature reserve and other than in times of drought when it may dry up, is a haven for a huge array of plant and birdlife including black swans. During periods of heavy winter rains Lake Nallan transforms into a favoured picnic spot. The surrounds will become covered with carpets of colourful everlastings and other flowers. You’ll find the lake about 20km north of the Cue townsite.

As per their council website, it allows limited camping for a maximum of 48 hours.  There are no facilities so please leave no trace.

Hugh area by the lake. A bit corrugated coming in and not signposted. Must be self contained and no fires although evidence of some around the foreshore.

Lovely picturesque lake views with plenty of room for big rigs. Recommend this place.
