Tropical Tablelands Caravan Park

This Caravan Park situated on a 5 acre block on the northern side of Mareeba has had a recent name change to Tropical Travellers Park to reflect the desire to encourage grey nomads with caravans ,Motorhomes and Campervans. Tent campers are not encouraged. The Park is currently in an extensive upgrade to sites and attractive accommodation for migrant farm employees. A total of 22 apartments are under construction plus dormitory type accommodation. This does not have any adverse effect on the camping people. There is an original amenities block with the usual cubicle layout and a recently constructed block inclusive of toilets, showers and camp kitchen and laundry with very modern appliances. A feature is that the toilet and shower rooms are completely enclosed and private. Pedestals for water and power are very modern and a feature is that the grey water inlet was at ground level facilitating optimal drainage and are illuminated at night. The sites are level gravel with cement slabs. I would estimate that currently there would be about 20 of these new sites with upgrades planned for the future. Parking is available along the tree lined grassed perimeter with older style water and electricity outlets. The management were friendly and showed us to our site ,a service that I appreciate. I thought the sited were rather tight but consistent with commercial parks.

Second time I have stayed here. Very friendly and helpful staff. Amenities excellent. Spacious grassy sites. Discount for Solo travellers.
