Bingara Riverside Camping Area - NSW RVFT

Free Camping - New South Wales

This camping area is located on the beautiful Gwydir River.  It has 3 lovely camping areas to choose from and a donation is requested for your stay.  Make sure you check out the information board at the entrance of the southern entrance for information and maps of where to camp.

Choose from bush, grassy sites and sit back and relax or do a spot of fishing, canoeing or walking while you're here.

**Please note: this camping area is only suitable for self contained camping i.e. caravans and motorhomes.  Maximum stay is 7 days.  The area is also prone to flash flooding in heavy rain.
Beautiful spot, no facilities but dump point and water nearby. Bingara makes all visitors welcome and is well set to support those enjoying the local area.

Our CMCA chapter had our weekend outing here, what a beautiful spot on the river. There was not very much water but there were about 40 RV's scattered along the river bank, still room for more. We have stayed may times before & we will be back again. With the low water level it is easy to walk across & to walk into the town centre to do some shopping. Thank you Bingara.

Excellent camping spot. Was only going to be an overnight stay, but ended up staying 5 nights.

This campsite is very popular but it is also very large. Located right on the river and very peaceful. It is so easy to lose oneself here in the tranquility of the site. This is one of my favourite campsites and if you get riverfront real estate it is magical. You will probably also get a visit from the local horses who roam the area - adds to the magic. I will be back. You must be self contained as absolutely no facilities.

Clean area well worth a night or two.

We have finally managed to camp here and love it. A river frontage enjoying the birdlife and also observing the horses. Lots of vehicles here but plenty of space. Great town to support. Dump points, yes two in town, are handy.

Stayed on the northern side of bridge. Quiet spots on riverside with grassy areas & shade. Easy 20 minute walk into town. Great for a few days. Have previously stayed on southern side. Equally as good there, though not as spacious. A favourite of ours.

It has been three years since we were here and it is still an excellent site with lots of areas for camping. Have to be early to get a spot on the river but can still get close, there are at least 35 rigs here tonight. This woudl have to be one of our favourite sites, called in for an overnighter and stayed three days. Max 7 days allowed.

Just spent 6 nights here, what a beautiful peaceful area. Close to town so you can support the shops. Quite a bit to do and see around the area.

Camped northern side right aroundThe river is flowing really nice a few horses walking around but a great free camp just make sure you take your rubbish and hold your waste water as they request so we have this facility to use in the future

This is a great site.

River running well! Here for a couple of nights still room for more- nice !

A very pleasant riverside campsite on the northern side of the river peaceful and quiet and well removed from the roadway. Upon entering the gate take road to the right as no camping is allowed to the left. There is plenty of room to camp but some of the ground is undulating. recommend caution when wet. Town facilities are close by on the others side of the river.
