Endeavour River Escape

The park has taken all the hard stuff out of bush camping for you. With their carefully selected and designed well grassed drive in-drive out campsites caravans, buses, trailers, tents can all enjoy the peace and quiet of the very special property. If you enjoy fishing, bush walking, native animals, bird and butterfly watching with night skies full of stars, awakening to the sounds of birds then... this is the place for you. 

Access is by a 5km well maintained 2WD dirt road. Steeped in Aboriginal and Colonial history our property is set in 250 acres surrounded by native bushland and the Endeavour River National Park.  We offer you the experience of a working farm, private camping, rainforests, the Endeavour River, Cameron Creek and 4WD access to the surrounding beaches.

Well behaved and supervised pets welcome.

Campsites 

Each nicely grassed level campsite is wonderfully spacious. No more camping on top of your neighbours - you can spread out an enjoy. Or if you have friends you can share the same site. At each campsite is your very own personal campfire place. Wood can easily be collected from around the property or purchase for a reasonable charge near the amenities. All sites are unpowered however, many are perfect for solar power or quiet generators may be used thoughtfully between 8am and 8pm.

Facilities

• The clean amenities are always a winner with guests. Hot showers and flushing toilets are a welcome addition at the end of a long day's travel, bush walking, 4WDriving, fishing, bird watching, exploring Cooktown and surrounds or simply relaxing.
• All water is suitable for drinking. 
• Wood can easily be collected from the property for your very own campfire or you can purchase reasonably priced bags of wood near the amenities.
• The camp kitchen has a free gas BBQ and large tables and seating for over 20 friends. 
• There is a free large washing machine which you can power with your generator.

Please note - there are not EFTPOS facilities available.
