This large reserve is grassy and level with plenty of shade on offer. There are two areas here, the day rest area and the overnight rest area.
You enter the reserve via Glen Road just off the highway. To access the day area which has the facilities and childrens' playground is entered via Pearse Drive on the left. If you turn to the right, you will access the overnight rest area.
It is a great place to stop for a night or just to stretch your legs for the day. The picnic tables are undercover and the toilets are good. The kids will love the playground as well.
The overnight area is large, open and grassy with plenty of space and shade.
Here you will find toilets, water, picnic tables, BBQ's and dogs are permitted.
Nice quiet overnight stay close to Bendigo. Some road noise but it didn't bother us. Plenty of room for all sizes of vehicles and numbers. Nice and tidy amenities and facilities.
The camping area is rather basic. It is just below the highway and attracts plenty of noise. The entry was dusty and rutted and would be slippery in the wet. Two large old bus/motorhomes were there and seemed to have been there a long time - sitting in the middle of everything, they were a bit intimidating.
The toilets were a good walk away - clean. Rubbish bins were overflowing, so rubbish was everywhere - looked like household stuff. Handy free bbq.
Overall OK for a night.
