Ravenswood Showground Camping Area

Show Ground - Queensland

Council allows camping at the Ravenswood Showgrounds/Camping Reserve.  The fees are as follows (current for 2021/22):

  •     $15.00 per day per site
  •     $77.00 per vehicle per week (powered site)
  •     $5.00 per person in a vehicle other than a private car (e.g. Bus) per day
  •     $5.00 per person per day, campers without vehicles

Fees will be collected on-site by Council Staff, CASH ONLY.

The Showground is large and flat, some 300 metres out of town within easy walking distance of two interesting pubs and a small mixed business. There is plenty of space for vans around the edges of the show ground where there is shelter from the trees. However choose your spot carefully as one of the trees has a bat colony! The place is run by a caretaker who collects the camping fees. There is no differentiation between powered or unpowered sites. The town itself is historically very interesting with lots of remnants of the mining days. The Imperial Hotel has a beautiful carved and curved bar.

Wonderful place to stay. Clean tidy and very friendly. Town is delightful.
