Emu Bay Camping Ground

Private Campground - South Australia

Eco Camping at Discovery Lagoon Camping Grounds at Emu Bay on Kangaroo Island is nestled away amongst the gum trees and bottle brushes . Whether you have a small tent or a large motor home we can provide you with a spacious campsite in a natural setting. We also have a couples Retreat and features a one bedroom Eco Glamping Cottage . Enjoy the comforts of a fully serviced amenities block, camp kitchen, barbecues, fridge and combustion heater for those colder evenings. A herb patch outside the camp kitchen, tank water, playground, fish cleaning bay, guest laundry. Set on four acres, the camping grounds are part of 100 acres . Feel free to walk around and take in the wildlife as there is nothing tamed or caged here - the kangaroos and wildlife will come and go as they please whilst being watched by nesting galahs from the river red gums above. You can see the lagoon spring to life in winter (depending on season rainfall) with migrating birds blanketing the water for their opportunity of a prime breeding spot. There has been over 100 native birds been sighted on and around our Lagoon.

Lovely spot. The camp/caravan bays at the end of the site have the better views of the beach. Very quiet at the moment. We camped here for two nights and did a day trip to Stokes Bay which was a lot busier (and the sites their were far less private). The only downside to this site is the toilets are a 100metre walk away. You can drive your car on the white sands of Emu Bay

Large campsites, short walk to beach.
