You'll find a beach known for its great fishijng after a 500m walk through the park’s extensive sand dunes. Explore the hinterland along Mungo walking track by foot or bring your mountain bike for a cycling adventure. When evening falls, settle in around the campfire and cook up a barbecue featuring your catch of the day. With all the fresh air and exercise, it won’t be long until you’re lulled to sleep by the distant waves. An idyllic spot near the coast, Stewart and Lloyds campground offers great beach fishing, walking, and mountain biking in Myall Lake National Park, near Hawks Nest.

Getting There

Stewart and Lloyds campground is in the Mungo Brush precinct of Myall Lakes National Park. To get there from Hawks Nest, follow Mungo Brush Road for approximately 10km, then turn right onto a short trail that leads to the campground.

  • This is a remote campground, so please make sure you arrive well prepared.
  • Vehicle entry fees are not included in your camping fees.
Great NP camping. Day fees apply but we have an annual pass approx $50. Amazing sand dunes, wildlife, dingoes, goanna's, even saw some whales flip flopping. Drop toilet & fire pits. The beach is great fishing.
