Located in a sheltered area on the southernmost part of Ninety Mile Beach, this campsite is a hidden gem. On Reeves Beach you can spot dolphins or whales if you are lucky, go fishing, surf, swim or simply walk and take in the scenery. This is a popular spot in peak holiday periods so make sure you have a plan B if you are travelling during this time. Facilities are basic but there are wood BBQs available (BYO wood) and small campfires are allowed if there are no fire bans in place.
Very large camping area suitable for most size rigs although parking / turning large rigs may get difficult due to width of parking area. No flushing toilets, just a long drop. Beautiful beach area.
Road is a bit rough, but still ok to tow all size rigs with caution.
Beautiful spot, plenty of areas to park vehicle and van. Very poor dirt road about 10km into site - very badly corrugated - First gear and not more than 10km/h is recommended.
Team Tripigy has visited this free camping, unfortunately it was in peak season, so the area was very full. There are some great grassy spots to camp, however during peak seasons the locals setup for a few months. Great spot outside of peak season.
Even in winter, it’s a lovely spot. Be prepared for bit of a hike to get up and over to the beach as some paths are very steep. Remnants of camp fires everywhere, no issues with getting our 20ft van in.
This camp site was dirty. Only one drop toilet and some people were using the scrub for toileting. No bins.
The site as quite busy for an overcast and sometime rainy Spring day. One camper trailer owner chose to put his wood pile right up against our motorhome. Most campers seemed to be fishermen.
We walked the beach and it would be excellent for swimming and relaxing in the sunshine.
The five km drive in as dirt/stoney, but quite acceptable.
Very little reception for Optus /Vodafone users.
