Located within walking distance to town the Branxton Oval RV Area offers camping around the playing fields.
It is a spacious area and the sites are mostly flat and level, however, some have a slight slope. There are plenty of trees available if you want shade. The area is suitable only for fully self-contained vehicles and the grounds are subjected to flash flooding during heavy rains, so there are plenty of warning signs and best to check the weather first and check if heavy rain is imminent.
Branxton lies on Maitland Street which is the old New England Highway. Easiest access is via the exits from the Hunter Expressway. Once on the main street through town turn into John Rose Ave, look for the old Victoria House two-story building as a landmark. Drive down John Rose Ave until you see the Rotunda at the end. This is the entrance to the oval. When you get to the rotunda, veer to the left and head towards the toilet blocks. Drive around them and to the right where you will see a gateway that leads to the camping areas.
