This free overnight rest area is located on the banks of Swan Brook near the small bridge. It has a large gravel surface with grassy areas on the sides. It is set just off the highway and there are trees to provide some shade.

Here you will find toilets with disabled access, picnic tables and fireplaces. Dogs are permitted here.  Please note: does not suit big rigs and trucks are not allowed in here.

Great little stop over if travelling west from the north coast via Grafton, Glen Innes and Inverell. Swanbrook is about mid way between Glen Innes and Inverell. Small Rest Area, enviro toilets, tables and chairs, rubbish disposals, no water, sealed area adjacent to creek. Fire wood can be found in the adjacent area, no Internet, wifi or phone coverage. Suitable for all size vans, Motorhomes etc. area could accommodate approximately 6 units Comfortably. Nearest town is Inverell or Glen Innes .. 30klms to each. Adjacent to the highway, however very little traffic or noise. We make this our First stop travelling from Ballina ... Arrive at Swanbrook mid to late afternoon via Grafton and Glen Innes.

Pleasant overnight stay by the creek, plenty of wildlife (as in ducks to feed) nice clean area with modern composting toilet.
