The friendly town of Cracow (approx 30 residents) have opened in 2011 the Cracow Mining Heritage Centre which incorporates a museum and adjacent recreational facilities.
They also offer three powered caravan sites with toilets and showers for overnight visitors to make use of FREE of charge! A donation is certainly welcome to help with the upkeep of this fabulous facility.
Enjoy a meal and cold beverage at the only other business in town at the Cracow Hotel.
This facility is a credit to Evolution Mining and the volunteer residents of Cracow that look after it.
There is an incredible amount of history in the museum of what was once a thriving community and now a ghost town.
I don't believe that anyone staying here would be disappointed in stopping for a couple of nights.
Apart from having a meal at the pub there is nothing else to spend a $$$ on so make sure you leave a donation to ensure this facility remains as is.
Big Rig Serenity.
The new power outlets are now completed, you need ramps as the ground is not yet been levelled. Heritage mining centre is right next to the camping site. Toilets, showers and water filling point available - all free, donations accepted. Old country pub within walking distance, great atmosphere, watching the passing traffic, meals, only canned or stubby beer available, no on tap beers. Small town now, that has a past history of Gold mining. Absolutely worth a stopover.
Top spot for a couple of nights great facilities and a great museum. Also a pub just down the road that has meals.
great park. power and tap to fill the water tanks. 3 drive thru sites with views. Well worth the donation.
