Free Camping - New South Wales

This free camping area is located at the northern end of Split Rock Dam.  It is large, grassy and has some shade.  It is popular for fishing with it's own boat ramp.  You can also swim here as well.  You must take your rubbish with you.

Delightful free camp, complete with 8 entertaining Pelicans in the waterhole. Roaming cows, clean facilities, lovely views, plenty of space for all size rigs.

Great camping spot plenty of room, undercover picnic table, bar-b-que, rubbish bins and clean toilets. Very relaxing spot & even though the water was very low, this place makes for a very relaxing time, we will return.

A truly tranquil & relaxing spot, even with almost no water in the dam but we could see where the dam would come up to as the launch ramp ends 4 meters above the current level. We loved the cattle roaming around the campground & the large variety of birds, we even saw a few roos & large carp jumping from the water. Campers must be aware that there is strictly no dumping of grey water although there are toilets & garbage bins, also it is 17 Klms out of Barraba for shopping, potable water & dump point.
