Ooraminna means "hot tucker" which in turn for Non -Australians means "hot food".  Many a hot meal has been served at Ooraminna with the thousands of people that have attended functions at the famous movie set from Drover's Boy.  The set has since been used in many a film and commercial and more regularly as the dining venue of Ooraminna.

Entertainment and dining experiences are supported at Ooraminna by gorgeous accommodations and a campground.

This is a very nice spot scenically with a nice lookout point to Alice Springs and a small billabong When we arrived we were told a spot to camp but were not shown anywhere.We hooked up to 1 of 6 power points n a large shed, and after fixing the only tap, to water .We were the only campers in this area .The ablutions block is old was only cleaned once while there ,the rubbish bin had stuff in it and wasnt emptied the whole time we were there ,the entrance floor and floor in the block needs reboarding in places as it has rotted .This station is hospitality based but we had no contact with anyone while we were there .
