This free camping area has plenty of choices of sites.  It does have some shade available.  There is fishing, boating, swimming and tons of birdlife to enjoy here.  The only facility here is a toilet so you will need to be self sufficient.

We booked a boat trip from the weir so we then stayed overnight on the eastern side after the boat trip. The road out from the highway was very corrugated and did some damage to our electrics just from the continuous vibration! We tried all speeds on the corrugations but nothing seemed to work. Lovely sunset and sunrise but pretty low water and very dry everywhere.
