Mortlake Caravan Park

Caravan Park - Victoria

Situated at the foot of dormant volcano Mt Shadwell, Mortlake is the centre of the rich agricultural and pastoral Great South Coast region of Victoria.

From fishing to gem fossicking in the volcanic rocks of Mt Shadwell, Mortlake has it all. The thriving rural town on the Hamilton Highway has a variety of eating spots, great sporting facilities including a 50-metre swimming pool, skate park, historic bluestone precinct and a relaxed country atmosphere.

Mortlake Caravan Park is ideally situated within the beautiful Tea Tree Lake reserve and gardens and provides ample open space for leisurely strolls or for the kids to play. Centrally located and within walking distance to all attractions, Mortlake Caravan Park is a great base for exploring the town, trying your luck at trout fishing in Tea Tree Lake and gem fossicking at Mount Shadwell.

A great spot - next to a lake with yabbies & fish you can catch. The showers even have bath mats for you. Immaculate green lawns with large trees & plenty of bird life - with an obliging caretaker - get 10 percent discount for seniors. Well worth the stay. Quality camp kitchen with a wood fire, books & great shelter. Quiet & close to town

Clean amenities, pet friendly, grassy sites, great caretaker, lovely town, supermarket, 2 pubs, 1 restaurant, 2 or more cafes. All up a great little spot to while away a couple of days.

Absolutely delightful CP. small but extra clean, friendly staff. Great showers (with supplied bath mats) large plots, some with hedge dividers between sites. All grassed spots. There is a large lake with lots of bird life and small fish, so it's healthy. Arrived here by accident but pleased we did. Congratulations to the parks team for great stay. There was a vintage car exhibition on within the CP grounds, what a treat, apparently happens every year, will endeavour to come back next year. Almost forgot to mention, washing machine $4.00.
