Braeside is the ultimate in Southern Downs Comfort. A fully restored, 145 year old heritage listed Homestead set in 1000 acres of Australian bush, providing unsurpassed tranquility in a serene environment reminiscent of times gone by.
Whether it is wandering the vast gardens, sitting under the wisteria covered veranda or enjoying the windswept paddocks and majestic gum trees, Braeside revitalises the spirit.
Beyond the pristine Braeside grounds, you can explore the Granite Belt and Southern Downs region of wineries, national parks and the many activities which abound in the Stanthorpe and Warwick district.
Braeside Homestead sits majestically overlooking the banks of Turner’s Creek; facing an old 30 metre tall Spanish Oak tree and surrounded by beautiful formal gardens. To the west the Homestead looks across 4 acres of grassy reserve dotted with majestic grey box gums. Enjoy sitting under the Banksia Rose covered arbour and watch the sun set or the clouds roll in during summer storms.
A magnificent 100 year old Wisteria drapes itself along wide verandas losing its leaves just in time to let the sunshine in on those sunny but very cold southern downs mornings. Once and a while it even snows! The Homestead has 4 bedrooms, (3 with ensuites, 1 with a private bathroom) a fully equipped gourmet kitchen, private bar, and grand dining room. Magnificent chandeliers reflect light across the formal lounge, and the famous Braeside turret which reportedly was used to light the way for stage coaches in times gone by.
While staying at the Homestead, enjoy the use of the private gardens, tennis court, infinity pool and outdoor hot tub.
