If you’re after a place to camp that’s incredibly quiet, Wallingat River campground (20 sites) may be just what you’re looking for. Perched on the riverbank beneath towering eucalypts, it’s remote enough to mean you can revel in the peace and quiet. 

**Please note: this is not suitable for any setup except for a tent or swag as all the sites are a short walk from the car. 

Active types might want to put the mountain bike in the car because the trails around Wallingat National Park make for great riding. Or bring your kayak for paddling along the river. There’s so much to do, it’s a shame to leave. 

Activities: paddling, liloing, swimming, fishing, birdwatching, picnics and barbecues 

Getting there: Wallingat River campground is in Wallingat National Park. **It is an unsealed road suitable for 2WD vehicles in dry weather only** 

To get there from Forster:Travel 30km south along Lakes WayThis will take you to Sugar Creek RoadStop at Gur-um-bee picnic area to check the information board 

Facilities: wood barbecues (bring your own firewood), non-flush toilets, picnic tables 

Water supply: The river water is not suitable for drinking; please bring water with you.
