Lake Dyer is situated in the beautiful Lockyer Valley between the villages of Laidley and Forest Hill, just a short detour off the Warrego Highway. A great spot for a short getaway for the whole family with a picturesque water outlook and shaded facilities.

Day trippers and campers are welcome at Lake Dyer.

Facilities include: camping, caravans, picnic table, toilets, showers, walking trails, BBQ's, playground, fishing, boating, direct access to Lake.

Our opening hours are from 6am to 6pm daily.

Directions: From the Warrego Highway (A2) at Plainland, take the Laidley exit and follow the signs for Laidley. After approx 8 kms continue through the main street of Laidley. Cross the bridge and take the first right at Gatton / Forest Hill turnoff. Travel approx 2kms and turn left into Lake Dyer/Bill Gunn Dam.

The Lockyer Valley Regional Council are offering everyone free camping here for the month of July 2021. Time limit conditions do apply so call the camp first.

Lake Dyer is a lovely spot a couple of minutes from Laidley. Elevated, with views to the lake & surrounding mountains & agricultural areas. The fees are now $25/night. Pension Card holders who book ahead (before you arrive) get the 3rd night free. Beware: there are 16 powered sites with slabs - but half of them are not conventional in that the van drawbar / bullbar faces the rear of the site in front. Apparently this is so that everyone's awnings face the lake. But it means that you need v.long hoses & power leads + we observed significant difficulties getting on/off sites (depending on what sort of rig was on the sites in front). The conventional sites (drawbar/bulbar facing the road) are: A3 A4 B3 B4 C3 C4 D3 D4. Toilets are shared with day use visitors. Plenty of room sideways between sites. The grass & surrounds are very well kept. Its a spot we've returned to several times. Dump point is in the town of Laidley.

Loved our stay here. Small park. Lovely hosts Donna & Herb. Green grass, all sites have annexe towards the lake so even though lake is only at 3% still water view. Quiet, lots of birds around also. We would certainly return to this one.
