Relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park at this group camp site, and take advantage of the guided eco-activities during peak periods.

The Conto Field Campground is approximately 20km south of Margaret River. It is located only 800m from the coast and is on the Cape to Cape walk trail. The campground is within the Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park and campers must adhere to National Park Regulations.

Facilities

  • Four camping loops which cater for everyone from small to medium groups, each with:
    • Toilets
    • Water, which is located at a designated area in each loop
    • Firewood provided free of charge
  • Each site within the loops has:
    • Parking area for up to three vehicles
    • Picnic table
    • BBQ ring
    • Tent site
  • Large group site for groups over 20 people, providing:
    • Parking for a coach and several vehicles
    • Several picnic tables
    • Several BBQ rings
    • Tent site with room for multiple tents

Cost

  • Camping: $7.00/night per adult, $2/night per child (6-16years, under 6 free)

Bookings/enquiries

There are no booking arrangements for use of the Conto Field Campground, however large groups are advised to contact the Ranger before arriving. Reservation of the group site can be arranged.

Note: All prices include 10% GST.

Important information:

Firewood is no longer provided free of charge at Conto Campsite. It is now recommended that campers bring their own firewood however there are limited supplies available for sale at the site. Campers should be reminded that Conto Campsite is within the Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park where the removal of, or damage to, native vegetation is illegal. It should also be noted that total bans are likely to be in place for wood fires over the summer months.

Very large area with clean camp kitchens and toilets, with plenty of shade among the peppermint trees. Had no problems getting Motorhome in. Camp host on site during peak periods.

We camped here in a 7 metre motorhome, no problem getting in. Good facilities, excellent camp kitchens, good shade under peppermint trees in most bays. Please dispose of rubbish at skip bins on way out.

Lovely bush camp but limited height and width as evidenced by the missing bark on many trees lining the road! Got in OK with a 6 metre long Winnebago 3.3 metre high. Could not access 2 camp bays because of my height.
