Next to the giant grain silos, you will find the relaxed free camping area located at the Thallon Recreational Grounds, which includes toilets and showers (keys available from the Francis Hotel).   Maximum stay limit is 96 hours.

Great spot next to the painted silos. Hot showers, toilets and power available. Dump point on site.

Town does itself proud with what they have achieved here. Great site and hard gravel on main area so will not bog but tent area would be problematical. Amenities and dump point on site. Camp with the Silos in full view. Some power available.

Thallon Recreation Ground, $10.00 PVPN for powered site. Water, clean facilities, hot showers, toilets. The locals have really made an effort. New gravel, levelled the area, bins, mowed area for tents and unpowered sites. Great view of the mural on the Silos. Meals available at the Local Francis Hotel Thallon. They are really trying to look after the RV & Caravan travellers check it out.

Plenty of room for all size rigs. Clean amenities, hot showers.

Free camping in Thallon near the painted silos. Great views at sunset and sunrise. Free showers, the water comes from bore but is ok to wash, smells a little of Sulfur. Flush toilets onsite. Power is available for a small fee. Short walk across the train tracks to the Francis Hotel which is air conditioned (it was 40 degrees outside the day we arrived) and where you can get hot meals, groceries, and souvenirs and watch TV on two big screens in the public bar. Friendly bar staff.
