The Summit 1770 is your dog-friendly gateway to a magnificent, and relatively untouched, coastal playground. The twin towns of Agnes Water and Town of 1770 are just the start of your adventures in this exciting and little-known region.
Named in 1936 for Captain Cook’s landing (only his second on the Australian mainland) in May 1770, Town of 1770 nestles in a beautiful estuary at the mouth of Round Hill Creek, and is an access point for Lady Musgrave Island the Lower Barrier Reef – a boating, fishing and snorkelling paradise just a 10-minute drive from The Summit.
Known to keen surfers since the 1960s, Agnes Water features a fine point break and a long, white sand beach with waves to suit all levels of surfers and swimmers. It is also a thriving resort town, with great restaurants, a tavern and two supermarkets – all this just a short hop down the hill from The Summit 1770.
Agnes/1770 is bounded by national parks – Deepwater to the south and Eurimbula to the north west – offering great fishing, bushwalking and wilderness 4WD adventures. However you and your dog like your holidays – slow and easy or fast and action-packed – this place has got you covered.
This is a unique opportunity to holiday with your dogs in gorgeous Agnes Water on the Discovery Coast. You will stay in your own pet-friendly private cottage with plenty of space around to exercise your four-legged friends. There are excellent facilities to leave your dog(s) for the day while you go and explore the adjacent Natural Parks.
Our three cottages are situated on a 40-acre property, high up on a hill, overlooking Agnes Water and the Pacific Ocean. Tranquil and secluded, yet only 2 minutes from the town centre, this property has all you need for a relaxing holiday with your furry friends.
Wake up to beautiful sunrises from your own private deck, spend the day exploring the Agnes area and walking our golden beaches. Back at the cottage take a walk to our stunning sunset viewing area, or sit by the fire pit gazing up at the stars at night.
Each cottage features one bedroom with queen bed, en suite bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, lounge area and a private deck.
Dogs are welcome at no extra charge. Guests with well behaved dogs are welcome to leave their dogs off the lead. Dogs are allowed inside, however, we do ask you to keep them off the furniture. A great idea is to bring your own dog blanket or bed with you from home, to help settle in your dog.
We also offer a large fenced dog run, a small fenced dog run and multiple places to tether your dog, if you decide to leave your dog at the property for the day.
The Summit offers open areas for the dogs to have a great time.
There is also plenty of space on our property for car/caravan/boat parking.
