Welcome to Kings Creek Station.

Ian and Lyn Conway established Kings Creek Station in 1981. The station lies 36 kilometres from the magnificent Kings Canyon (Watarrka) and is set amongst majestic desert oaks.

Kings Creek Station is a working cattle/camel station with facilities for camping, accommodation and an opportunity to experience the outback either by quad (4 wheel motorbike) or helicopter. The station sells camels for live export, live domestic sales and meat.

Basic supplies, meals and drinks can be bought at the station shop. You could even try one of our famous Kings Creek camel burgers.

Accommodation

The station lies 36 kilometres from the magnificent Kings Canyon (Watarrka) and is set amongst majestic desert oaks. Kings Creek Station is a working cattle/camel station that offers visitors a wide range of accommodation from self camping, safari tents, a bush swag camp, and the Dreamtime Escarpment glamping. Basic supplies, meals and drinks can be bought at the station shop, and our camel burgers are a huge favourite with many visitors. The station is an exporter of wild camels in Australia and sells camels for live export, live domestic sales and meat. Some 36 documentaries have been filmed at Kings Creek and the station hosted Australian Geographics' fourth expedition. In 2001 the world famous Australian Safari travelled through and stayed at the station. Kings Creek Station has also been featured on 7 Sunrise Weather hosted by Grant Denyer in 2012.

Accommodation

Set amongst natural bush with views of the George Gill Range, our campground offers a choice of grassed and un-grassed sites, with or without power. Toilet, shower and laundry facilities are provided; and don't forget the swimming pool! Our spacious campground provides various sized sites catering for tents, caravans, campervans and swags. Native trees provide shade and privacy giving an air of peace and tranquility.

THERE'S LOTS TO SEE AND DO AT KINGS CREEK STATION AND SURROUNDING AREAS.

We have a variety of activities including quad bikes, helicopter flights and swimming at the station.

We can also recommend other great activities in the area including Karrke Aboriginal Cultural Tour,

the Kings Canyon rim walk, and the Catherine Springs walk in the Watarraka National Park.

For more information on what to do at Kings Creek Station and the surrounding areas

ask the friendly staff in the fuel shop or contact us at the station.

This is a rustic but good stopover on the way to or back from Kings Canyon facilities old but clean and friendly staff all sites have fireplaces and well defined parking bays The sunset from the hill was great with the only disappointment being the cafe had sold out of their supposedly famous camel burgers I would stop again.

Fantastic warm welcome from Jules upon arrival. Sites were spacious. Ours was site 36 which offered plenty of shade, power, water & a large fire pit. Firewood was provided. Toilet blocks were clean & tidy. Plenty of BBQs & camp kitchens. Nice pool for a cool dip. Bar served ice cold beer, wine & ciders. Camel buger was delicious & good value. Thanks to the managers Dave & Jules for making our stay so memorable.
