There is something for all ages and interests in the Coorong. The serenity, the sheer diversity, and the proximity to Adelaide make it an immensely popular park. Visitors come for bird watching, boating, kayaking, fishing, camping, walking, four-wheel driving and European and cultural history.
The Coorong is also a wetland of international importance, supporting many significant and endangered flora and fauna.
Located on Loop Road, approximately 1 km from Salt Creek. Entry is from the information bay car park and the site is easily accessible by 2WD. Access 2WD and 4WD. Suitable for caravans. Facilities, long-drop toilet. Campfires not allowed. Number of campsites, 2 allocated campsites. Unpowered.
The site is situated on the roadside and is more suited for overnight rather than longer term stays. Long drop toilet, rainwater tap (not suitable for drinking) and picnic tables. Walking trail and park information is available at the car park.
