This free overnight rest area is located on the eastbound lane of the highway. It is a drive through bitumen parking area with lots of grassy areas with plenty of shade if desired. It is named after Victoria Cross recipient Albert Chowne. Here you will find toilets with disabled access, non-potable water, picnic tables and dogs are permitted.

This is a small roadside rest area with unisex toilets. It has non potable water and bins. You would be lucky to fit 10 motorhomes.

Surprising how quiet on a Sunday night. Great little rest area, very clean. It's not a caravan park so fitting up to 10 motorhomes in is great. We were the only people here.
There are less and less areas where you can legally park overnight on our highways.
