This large free camping area is located around the billabong. There is a boat ramp located at Bruces Bend. It is a good place for swimming, kayaking, fishing and walking. The toilets are located near the pump station.

There are a number of uneven sites along the river/lagoon bank but when I was there there were several backpackers occupying most of the space. So I moved on.

A number of sites along the lagoon and down towards the pumping station. TV and phone good.
Very dry when we were there with dust drifting from road. Council grader must have broken down - road bad. Trees overhead in most places. A worry about access and departure if it rains.
