Fees are $10 a night or $50 for a maximum of 7 nights.
Fees will be collected by the site manager in the evenings or mornings.
We stayed here for 5 nights in our 28 ft fifth wheeler towed by our F250 (14.2 metres overall). Nice quiet camp ground run by the golf club opposite the showgrounds. Drinking water and bins on site dump point close by (short drive). Television and mobile coverage available. Short stroll to Stanley township local grocery store petrol exchange gas cylinders restaurants and attractions. Great price at $8.00vannight or $40.00week.
Great stop the lady collecting the money is great position great and good walks from here
After a walk around today I realised how close the camp is to the town so took a photo from the lookout to show it. Have circled the RV Camp in red
WOW...this RV freecamp site is tops. Right in town...a plus. And what a town! Everyone we met were personable and welcoming...topping the list is the GORGEOUSLY GENEROUS lady who greets you at the freecamp. WOW...magic person, generous to the max. Great stop and will definitely stay again.
Great stop over. The nut just dominates the scenery and the town just oozes old world charm. Must be self contained, but water is available from taps in the middle of the campground. Dump point just down the road.
Stanley is a lovely old town, and the 'Light Between Oceans' was filmed here. It is always windy, so most of the attractions are indoors.
What a stop this is. In town...and what a town! BUT the icing on the cake is Lana, a truly wonderful lady, the lady who collects the camp fees...loves her home town, is so warmly personable and is so generous...kindly gave us THE best homemade fish pies...yum!!! Please patron this site. Great spot, water views and walking distance to town and The Nut.
As soon as we drove into this site it had a good vibe. Don’t know what it was but we liked it. Can highly recommend.
Basic campground without facilities but water was good. Can be very windy. Loved Stanley and hired the only copy of Light Between Oceans (some of it filmed in Stanley) from the store to watch while we were there - recommended.
Can drive onto the wide flat beach there - great view of The Nut. Worth walking up The Nut (cardiac hill) and the circuit walk ..... or catch the chairlift and walk around it.
A quiet site beside the sea. No facilities apart from a water tap. Just a short walk to the historic village, where there are plenty of cafes, restaurants. Also a short distance to the Dumpoint & toilets. Very windy when we were there.
I cannot really add to what has already been said about this wonderful camp. Our lovely Caretakers called around in the golf buggy and accepted our fees.
One thing that did surprise me was I was asked to please let my grey water go onto the grass as the grass needs it. Have read online that this has been occurring for quite a lengthy time.
