Double D Caravan Park

Caravan Park - New South Wales

Favourite

Peak Hill is situated midway between Parkes and Dubbo on the Newell Highway. Here you will find the wonderful Double D Caravan Park, located about 600 metres from the Newell Highway and nestled at the quiet end of town, away from busy trucks and highway noise.

Most of our sites are powered and drive-through, with flat concrete slabs for parking and a lovely green grassy patch for you to sit outside and relax. We offer air conditioned, motel-style cabins, which are all fully self-contained with linen provided free of charge. One of the units is pet friendly with its own fenced and concreted courtyard, and includes a table and barbeque.

Our screened camp kitchen is like no other. It has comfortable surroundings with barbeque facilities and a fishpond for you to enjoy a relaxing meal. The camp kitchen is fully equipped and we provide tea and coffee, so only need to bring your food and drinks. There is also a TV for you to catch up with the world events, and a second barbeque area has just been built for your enjoyment. While we do not have a dump point on our site, there is one located just around the corner on Lindner Oval with easy access.

We are pet friendly and have just completed our Doggy Day Spa, which includes a commercial dog dryer and towels. In the near future, we will be creating our Doggy Day Care so you can visit our local treasures, knowing your pet is securely looked after for while you are away. We have a variety of animals for you to see and enjoy. We have 6 hens, birds in the aviaries, as well as 3 miniature horses. Elvis the canary lives on the porch at reception, and Jack and Missy are our two city dogs.

We take pride in the cleanliness of our park and welcome inspections. Come and visit Double D Caravan Park and experience some good old-fashioned country hospitality.

Well run park with clean facilities. The camp kitchen is one of the best we have encountered, including complementary pancakes and tea/ coffee for breakfast. Owners, Kev and Deb, are friendly and courteous. Reasonable rates with access to all other facilities.

Great park, fantastic hosts Kev and Deb couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating. Our 9 month old pup was treated like family too. Immaculately clean amenities block with bath mats, delicious home made ice cream sandwiches, a secure off leash dog area and the windscreen fairy show that Kev and Deb go the extra mile.

A small but wonderful caravan park. The most amazing bug free camp kitchen with everything you need. Including crockery and cutlery. Even had ice cubes available for your drinks. Leash free dog area is a real bonus. Would highly recommend this park

Neat and tidy sites. Dump point is 1 minute drive away. Don’t trust your GPS (it’ll take you on a tour of the back streets) just turn straight into Bogan street from the highway and drive straight. We’d stay here again.

Best caravan park you will ever stay at. Debbie and Kevin go out of their way to make your holiday great. Pancakes in the morning, happy hour Friday and Saturday and the rainbow fairy washes your car windscreen in the morning. Friendly horses and birds pick your own vegie patch. Would highly recommend. Good rates for powered sites only $28 a night.

Great park. Pancakes for breakfast and windscreens cleaned by the park owner. They go further than the next step to make your stay a good one. There is even an off leash fenced area for dogs.

Great little caravan park off the main road, Newell Hwy. Very quiet nights sleep. The camp kitchen is the best we have had the pleasure of. Fully equipped sit back and enjoy. Own rubbish bins, water and power is alongside the concrete drive through sites and thick grassed area alongside. Book in after 11am. Home made ice cream sandwich $3 was nice and rich. Amenities block is very well kitted with own floor towels, music, and spotless clean. Fab water pressure for a refreshing shower. Few rescued miniature horses and chooks. Community veggie garden. Booked 3 nights but the intended closure of the Victorian border due to NSW COVID breakout had us leave 1 day earlier. Thankyou Kev and Deb. Have a beaut Christmas.
