This free camping area is a spacious, grassy area located on the banks of the Buckland River. It has plenty of room for any size rig you may have. It is a nice spot to have a swim or do some fishing. The river is accessed by a steep foothpath, but it's worth it.
Here you will find toilets, fireplaces, BBQ's and pets are allowed.
This is such a pretty spot. It is off Buckland Valley road 2 km after the sealed road ends. It is well sign posted. The gravel road is well maintained and accessible to any vehicle. The camp site has lots of grass and adequate shade. There are some fire pits.
We left earlier than planned for two reasons. The flies were unbearable. Not just bush flies but huge blowies. They may be breeding in the dunny?
The second reason was that, despite rules saying dogs on leash, all the dogs bar ours, were free reign. Our dogs were going mad. I don’t understand why people can be so selfish.
