This is a large & free camping/overnight area which is located adjacent to Cooyar Creek.You will find some shade here via tall gum trees. The lower creekside area (not suitable for low-clearance and larger setups) is very popular for fishing.

Great spot the ground a little uneven but plenty of room to find a spot. Day traffic is busy but night time ok.

This campsite is well worth an overnight stop, grass mowed and tidy, plenty of space for all size rigs, you must be self contained,. The old railway line passes next to this campsite and is worthy of a look.

Situated on the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail which offers a great opportunity to walk or ride the trail either to Yarraman or Blackbutt. Plenty of bird life around the waterhole and under the remains of the old rail bridge. Plenty of room even for a game of cricket. There’s even stock yards for your horse. Good cafes in both towns and lots of history to discover.
